HISTORY:

Full of magic and pre-Columbian history, Chia is one of the towns closest to the capital of Colombia, was the birthplace of Cundinamarca and Chibcha kingdom was ruled by caciques, "Chia" Chibcha language translates moon Muiscas divinity. In the bends of the river and the Simca Funza or Riofrio and there Tiquiza hill Chia Aboriginal people. Traditionally its main economic activities are agriculture, extensive export flower crops and dairy farming.
